Feasibility Study 🔗

In 2019, Multnomah County launched a feasibility study to explore the possibilities for building a municipal broadband network. Their partners are the Cities of Portland, Gresham, Wood Village, Troutdale, and Fairview. The study is being conducted by CTC Technology and Energy and we expect the results to be available in Fall 2020.

Love Letters to Municipal Broadband

Using analog technology, local residents wrote publicly to the City of Portland and Multnomah County to voice their concerns about the need for community-owned internet. We hand-delivered their letters to Mayor Wheeler.
